With the 8th ATP of 25 July 2015 to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP Regulation) the statement "Skin corr. 1B" under INDEX No 607-197-00-8 was deleted. In deviation from this, BAM continues to recommend assignment to UN No. 3265, packing group III. If the consignor has appropriate classification data proving that the substance is neither skin corrosive nor metal corrosive in the sense of Class 8, assignment to Class 8 may be waived. The consignor of dangerous goods shall be obliged to hand over for transport a consignment that complies with the provisions of the mode of transport and shall, in particular, ensure that the dangerous goods are classified and authorised for transport in accordance with this regulation.
